About
Tara grew up in Birmingham, England, as the daughter of Irish immigrants and now resides in Dublin, Ireland, after spending many years abroad. She is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish. Tara has always been passionate about film, travel, cycling, and swimming. She has strong organizational and planning skills, that she brings to every production.
During her childhood, she spent summers camping across France, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. Her task was to blow up the camp beds with an orange foot pump, even in the rain, which left her with no romantic notions about camping. Tara’s favorite directors include Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Pedro Almodóvar, and Mel Brooks. She dreams of filming in New York and France. Tara has written and directed six short films and produced five others. She frequently collaborates with www.army-of-id.com as a producer and is currently directing "Smithfield," a short film that serves as a eulogy to the murals in Dublin 7. This project is part of an anthology feature by Dublin Filmmakers. Tara has undergone extensive training in screenwriting, production, and direction, including training in Albert sustainability, some of which has been sponsored. She has written numerous short and feature scripts, comedy and satirical sketches, and has contributed to the @newscheckcomedy writers' room.
